Last week of rehearsals before we go into tech next Monday. And just our luck, the theater where we are performing and have been rehearsing has a children's theater performance of Peter Pan every day this week so we can't even get into the theatre before 9pm.
Last night we met at Will's house at 7 because he lives so close to the theater and had a dance rehearsal. Lucky me I did not have to practice much because I am only in one of the dances and I could not wear my skates in their house so I mainly swung in the hammock. It was delicious. So was Will's dad's pickletini. Yums.
At 9 we moved over to the theater and did a choppy run through of specific scenes and transitions we need to work on. Lucky for me I pretty much know where and when I need to be onstage and haven't had any trouble remembering that so I'm not really concerned for myself, though the long hours and the inevitable tension that comes with opening a show in two weeks does start to wear on you.
Tonight should be another long night when I am finished with work. At least I have time to eat dinner before I go to rehearsal since we don't start at 9. But it's so weird how regardless of how much I eat by the time I'm at the theater I pretty much just want to stuff my face with pizza. Preferably from Whole Foods.
I came across this blog and I really love it. It has a great mix of art, culture and fashion and if I lived in Chicago I would probably go everywhere that the writer, Dana, suggested because it looks amazing. I haven't been to Chicago since I was 10 so I would say I am long overdue for a visit. Check it.

Tomorrow is going to be an even longer day. Le sigh.
